Azienda Agricola La Fornacella
A bit of history
La Fornacella winery, owned by the Ciacci family, is located in Montalcino, Tuscany, in the south-eastern part of the region at an altitude of about 300 meters above sea level. There are three vineyards in production, one in Montalcino adjacent to the winery and two in Castelnuovo dell’Abate, in the Sant’Antimo Abbey area, at about 400 meters above sea level. The latter, because of their conformation and the characteristics of the soil, add power and character to the elegant and fruity grapes harvested in the vineyard at La Fornacella. Organic farmers, the Ciacci family for many generations have dedicated themselves to the land with love and passion for the vines and olive trees that have always represented the culture and history of this wonderful area, harvesting with great dedication few fruits but of extraordinary quality.
Our commitment is to preserve the characteristics that have made Sangiovese di Montalcino, Brunello the difference from other wines.
Rosso di Montalcino and Brunello di Montalcino are produced with grapes obtained with careful organic agronomic care, certified “Valoritalia” with a low production per hectare and the harvesting is strictly manual.
