Azienda Agricola Toscani
Azienda Agricola Toscani was founded by the well-known Italian photographer Oliviero Toscani. Every year he built the estate little by little until they had 4000 olive trees, Appaloosa horses, Cinta Senese breed pigs, Angus cows and homing pigeons. It was then they decided they were missing what was truly calling them: a vineyard. So they started with 12 hectares of vines at 350 meters above sea level with a breathtaking view of the Tirreno Sea.
Today it is managed by Oliviero’s son Rocco, who was raised surrounded by this beautiful land. While his life took him on many adventures, he realized that this lad had always been his real passion, so he returned. Today, he is assisted by a great team of winemakers Attilio Pagli and Valentino Ciarla, and agronomist Stefano Bartolomei. They work hard to manage an artisanal winery where the care for their environment and sustainable production is their priority.
Their goal is to optimize the strengths of the vineyard and its terroir by producing wines that had never been experimented with before in this area, making wines that reflect the features of their grapes from their crisp freshness to their fascinating force. The vineyards are organically cultivated, and they practice low intervention techniques in the cellar, a tough production but one that creates truly unforgettable wines.
