A bit of history
Micaela Lago (sommelièr) and Gabriele Bava (oenologist) are the names behind the “Lagobava” winery, founded in 2001 with the aim of pursuing a single main objective: to produce great wines in the Monferrato lands in a small farmhouse spread over an area of about four hectares.
Among the rows, there are only red varieties of Barbera, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Pinot Noir. In 2011, a small vineyard of Malvasia di Casorzo was added, used to produce the dessert wine of the same name.
The wines are all produced following the rules of organic farming. Through clean, organic farming they are able to reach the main purpose with which the company was founded: to share the essence of the Monferrato through a glass, while expressing the highest possible quality.
