A particular dish, with a long history. Eel is a local speciality of the Emilia Romagna coast on the Adriatic Sea. A meaty fish, marinated and sealed in oil to be enjoyed in main dishes or as an addition to such. Quite different from the classic anchovies or tuna, the Eel of this region is a Slow Food protected tradition, a unique expression of Italian Excellence.
