Cannonau has long been one of the most traditional red wines of Sardinia, being present on the island for a good 400 years. It is the most widely planted red grape in the Sardinian vineyards, Cannonau especially thrives in the Northern half of the island. These full bodied red wines have rich floral aromas and are often quite smooth and warm to drink. Perfect to pair at an evening surrounded by friends with a table filled with steaming pasta accompanied by grilled meats and vegetables.
