The Barolo La Morra by Poderi Gianni Gagliardo is produced from Nebbiolo of the Santa Maria, Serra dei Turchi Cru.

This area of production creates a mineral fresh Barolo, one of the most elegant in the region. On the nose, the first aromas that pop out are rich red fruits such as cherries, and cranberries backed up by a herby and spiced note but brought together with rich aromas of leather and tobacco.

The grapes have been macerated for 12 days, then left to age for 30 months in 35l oak casks. 2017 was quite warm and dry, with an intense spring frost that lead to a decrease in Barolo production overall. However, this year provided small and concentrated grapes which through their perfect ripeness brought an extra sweet note, evolved into a smooth and warm wine through production.
