Description

Bordigali Smoked Provola is a soft, compact, hand-spun cow's milk cheese. Straw-yellow in colour, with a sweet taste enriched by the unmistakable aroma of smoke. Lacesa continues to make its goodness in the respect of the typical Sardinian traditions; in fact, the smoking is made with the smoke coming from the burnt wet straw.

The provola di Bortigali is one of the most inimitable cheeses in the Sardinian cheese-making tradition. Lacesa uses cow's milk obtained from wild pastures in the Marghine region, known for being rich in fodder essences that feed the animals and make their milk even tastier.
The paste is compact when cut but crumbly to the palate. The flavour is strong and slightly aromatic.

It is excellent eaten plain, as it is impossible to resist tasting it when sliced. Ideal for sandwiches or grilled in foil with herbs for a barbecue with friends.

Maturing: 20 days.

We prepare the order in 24-48 hours and shipping to Europe usually takes 2 or 3 days.

Our priority is to pack and ship the products safely. All the different types of cheese are vacuum sealed and we use dry ice and cool bags to keep the products fresh and their quality intact.
