Brunello di Montalcino DOCG “Cosimo”

This wine is a tribute to the founding father of the Palazzo winery, Cosimo Loia. He immediately believed in the potential of the territory and of Brunello di Montalcino, which is why the grapes are harvested in the very first vineyard established by the winery in 1985.
Brunello di Montalcino ''Cosimo'' is only produced in the best vintages and in a total of just over 1000 bottles. All bottles are numbered.

The grapes are harvested in September by hand in boxes. Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks.
Ageing lasts 40 months in oak barrels and refined in bottles for a further 8 months.

Tasting Notes

It's an intense ruby red wine with luminous garnet reflections. The nose seduces with its notes of forest and undergrowth, medicinal herbs and red roses. On the palate it is refined and elegant to the point of expressing all its power and concentration. The finish is long and persistent, like the memory it leaves behind.

Food Pairings

Excellent as a meditation wine. It releases its full force when paired with full-bodied meat dishes such as game or roasts.
