For lovers of spreadable cheeses, here is the new fresh cream from Guffanti.

With its creamy consistency, it presents itself to the eye with a typical greyish-yellow colour.
On the palate, it is strong, spicy and carries with it the notes of the double fermentation of about 45 days and aqua-vitae. In fact, there is a Piedmontese saying that goes 'mac l'amor a l'è pi fòrt che 'l bros', only love is stronger than Bruss.
Bruss cream cheese has a very ancient history and its recipe originated in the kitchens of Piedmontese families. All leftover cheeses, from ricotta to hard cheese, were mixed and grated together with added milk to form a new cream cheese, Today, Guffanti, proposes this recipe using the freshest cuts of sheep's cheese and adding grappa during fermentation.

Bruss cheese cream is excellent spread on hot crostini or to flavour a polenta. It is ideal with a glass of red wine such as Barolo from Poderi Gianni Gagliardo, but don't miss the extraordinary combination with Passito Valdenrico from Rovellotti.
