Description

Among the fertile pastures of Sardinia, Lacesa produces its quality Provola according to the cheese-making tradition of this land, exploiting the variety of aromatic herbs to give the milk a unique flavour and create a 100% Sardinian cheese.
Its typical pear shape, called "peretta" or "tittighedda" in Sardinian dialect, will be the image that you will not be able to get out of your head.

A cow's milk cheese with a spun paste, soft, compact, elastic and straw-yellow in colour. On the palate, it has a sweet and aromatic flavour, soft and light. Its scent combines sensations of green grass and berries, giving way to an almond finish.
It is one of the few Sardinian cheeses made with cow's milk to have a long tradition: at first it was prepared at home, working the milk as soon as it was milked, and the women shaped it by hand so that the head of the "peretta" could retain the flavour more intensely. Nowadays, Casizolu is a PAT product, that is, it is included in the list of traditional food products.

It can be enjoyed on its own with Pane Guttiau, perhaps accompanied by a glass of light red wine as an aperitif. If added to your delicious savoury pies or pasta sauces, it gives a unique and special flavour.

The most special aspect of this cheese is that it continues to mature over time. If it is stored in a cool, moist environment away from light and heat sources, the maturing process evolves over time. You can, therefore, decide how long to age it so that it will always have a different and enriched flavour.

Wine and all bottles in general are shipped in inflatable bags, designed to protect them throughout their journey. Please note that all packaging can be easily reused.
