Perfect by the bite, or melted over a hot dish
A true symbol of Piedmonts history: Castelmagno! This cheese has been produced in the region as far back as the 13th century. In 1277 we have the first record of it as being used as payment for local pasture land.
It is produced only in a restricted area of the Val Grana, coinciding with the three municipalities of Castelmagno, Pradleves, and Monterosso Grana. As many mountain cheese it is produced with a mix of raw sheep and goat's milk giving it a rich character. The Italian DOC dates back to 1982, the European DOP recognition is awarded in 1996. Today it is one of the most loved Piedmontese cheeses.
It has a strong and intense mountain flavour with a musty note. It is excellent melted over warm gnocchi or enjoyed by the bite with a glass of red wine. If you serve it with one of your tagliere, drizzle a little cogna jam on top to watch the flavour pop.

Our priority is to pack and ship the products safely. All the different types of cheese are vacuum sealed and we use dry ice and cool bags to keep the products fresh and their quality intact.
Wine and all bottles in general are shipped in inflatable bags, designed to protect them throughout their journey. Please note that all packaging can be easily reused.
