CGN Cagnulari – Isola dei Nuraghi IGT

CGN - Cagnulari Island of Nuraghi IGT is a wine with a very marked character, of great elegance and personality that is coloured by the most northern red of all Sardinia.

It is part of the "Memorie di vite" collection with which Piero Cella and Luciana Baso want to recover the oldest and purest expression of Sardinian vines and their most congenial terroir. "CGN" is made from a native red grape typical of northern Sardinia, grown in the alberello free standing vine training.
The harvest is carried out strictly by hand and, once the vinification is complete, The Cagnulari is matured for six months in steel and partly in barriques, before final refinement in the bottle.
It has an intense ruby red colour with violet reflections and a fragrance reminiscent of blueberries and sour cherries, enriched in the finish by balsamic and mineral notes.

Its taste is fresh and mineral, with good body and intensity. The aromas of black berries make its taste even more pleasant.

Excellent with red meat, such as pork tenderloin with balsamic vinegar, or with mature cheeses such as Pecorino Sardo Stagionato di Lacesa.
