Rich in protein and minerals

Organic Honey by Slow Food beekeepers

Excellent with red wine and boiled meat

Harvested at the end of June and in July in the Varaita Valley when the flowers of the chestnut tree open to the sun's rays. Dark amber in colour, intense, aromatic, and pungent fragrance. Intense flavour with a slightly bitter aftertaste.

Being rich in minerals, it is ideal for sportsmen and women, although the protein it contains and its antioxidant effects make it suitable for everyone, young and old.

What to pair it with? A glass of non-fruity red wine, some warm toast and a good book for a moment of relaxation. For social occasions, you can't miss it on boiled meat (a must if you want to feel like a true Piedmontese).

This organic chestnut honey has been produced by Apicoltura Vallera, a Slow Food beekeeper in the heart of Piedmont.
