Romagna Albana Secco DOCG “Amedeo”

Zavalloni's Romagna DOCG Albana Secco "Amedeo" is made from 100% of grapes from the 1969 Albana grape variety. The name is a tribute to his grandfather, who planted this vine when there were no nursery cuttings yet.

The eye is delighted by a straw yellow colour with golden highlights. Its fragrance is intense with fruity notes, such as apple and banana, and aromatic hints. Citrus sensations of orange blossom, jasmine, honey and apricot jam emerge at the end.
Its taste is sweet, pleasantly soft and enveloping. It immediately strikes the palate for its elegance and fullness, the finish of which is lengthened by a decidedly savoury and fine flavour.

The harvest takes place in two separate phases: the first part is made into wine immediately, the other part is collected in boxes and dried for a month before being made into wine. Fermentation takes place in French oak Tonneaux and it rests for six months on its indigenous yeasts before being bottled.

Excellent with fish dishes, rabbit with red onions or baked goose.
