Romagna DOC Sangiovese Superiore “Taibo”

Taibo is a 100% Romagna Sangiovese Superiore DOC. Grapes are carefully selected and hand harvested before going through spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts. These Sangiovese grapes also spend a long maceration with the skins at controlled temperature in oak conical vats, giving them a rich and elegant taste.

Taibo has a ruby red colour, on the nose, it has floral notes of violet followed by hints of fresh red fruit, like blackberry and cherry. The final wine is full-bodied and well balanced it has a long finish which reveals tannins of remarkable finesse.

This Sangiovese Superiore is best enjoyed paired with a fattier meal, such as cold cuts and cow's milk cheese, as well as the main meat course or duck ragu.
