Symbol of the Piedmontese olive oil tradition

Stands out for its intense and spicy notes

Excellent for enhancing the delicacy of fish

Description

Smeraldo Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Azienda Agricola Agorà represents the symbol of the revival of the olive-growing tradition long lost in Monferrato due to the harsh climate.

In 2020, Azienda Agricola Agorà has planted 2.000 olive trees characteristic of the Piedmont region, taking care of them as the organic method requires. Taking over the production and planting of historical olive varieties is by no means easy. The process of industrialisation, the new mechanisable plantations, and the soils that are becoming more and more difficult to dry and sloping, represent a serious challenge. But the oil that is obtained from this difficult path represents unparalleled excellence.

The name Smeraldo (Emerald) was chosen to allude to the precious stone symbol of rebirth and good fortune for the Monferrato area and to represent the bright green colour that is immediately apparent. Its taste surprises the palate with its intense and spicy notes.
The taste is opened by sweet notes and then envelops the palate with distinctly bitter notes. It recalls notes of almond, artichoke and freshly mown grass.
Due to the strong presence of polyphenols and very low acidity, it is considered an excellent regenerant and antioxidant.

It is produced from the Leccino, Pendolino, Coratina, Moraiolo and Frantoio cultivars.

The Azienda Agricola Agorà is the only one in the whole of Piedmont to be closed-cycle, and its 4 hectares of land are used for planting, harvesting, pressing and bottling.

Excellent used to season grilled white meats or to enhance the delicacy of fish. Also ideal for garnishing tomato bruschetta with mature cheeses.
