Toscana Rosso IGT “Apa Nacna”

Apa Nacna is a fascinating blend of the best vintages of Merlot, Sangiovese, and Alicante (sometimes called Cannanou) paying tribute to the Etruscan wine tradition of this region, and a modern winemaking scene in Tuscany, the saying "Apa Nacna", in Etruscan means grandparents, and was chosen as a way of representing a tribute to the ancient civilisation that dominated Tuscany, as well as to the deep bond between the La Stadere family, their land, and its ancient and prestigious winemaking tradition.
Every batch of this wine is different, using different blends of the varieties from the best vintages to create the ideal blend. A truly unique character of the wine. The unrepeatable wine is the outcome of La Stadere's creativity and avant-garde tendency, a skillful and refined blend for a complex, spicy wine with varied hues and great structure. The wine is fermented in stainless steel, then the blend is left to age for 24 months in French oak barrels.

Tasting Notes

On the nose you'll be met with fresh blackberries, but also notes of vanilla and caramel, Silky tannins are met with also refreshing acidity.

Food Pairing

Pair this wine with a flavourful dinner of grilled meat or vegetables, or a wild boar ragu. It can also be enjoyed after dinner as a meditation wine with premier cru dark chocolate.
